Glimpse of the Black Sea
The Black Sea is a marginal sea located between southeastern Europe and western Asia, connected to the Mediterranean Sea through the Bosphorus Strait, then through the Sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles.
It is not clear why the Black Sea was called by that name, but some theories indicate that it was named so because of the savage tribes that inhabited its shores.
There are other theories pointing to the cause are the storms that used to hit the sea during the winter and make the sea water appear black.
