Apple Pay no longer works in the Russian Federation. This is stated in the company's statement, reports the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.
Apple is taking a series of actions in response to Russia's incursion into Ukraine, including suspending product sales in Russia, halting exports to the country, and restricting Apple Pay there, according to a statement from the tech giant on Tuesday.
In addition, RT, the Russian state news network, and Sputnik have been removed from the AppStore outside of Russia.
Apple has also disabled live traffic on Apple Maps in Ukraine for the safety of Ukrainian citizens.
"We are deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and support all the people who suffer as a result of violence," Apple said in a statement.
