Japan will allocate additional $100 million in financial assistance to Ukraine

The Japanese government plans to allocate an additional $100 million to Ukraine on top of the already approved $100 million support, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on Twitter.

Japan fully supports tough sanctions against the Russian Federation. Thank you for this! Indeed, the global anti-war coalition is in action," Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced that Japan was joining financial sanctions against Russia to cut off SWIFT, imposing personal sanctions against high-ranking Russian officials, including against Vladimir Putin, and providing Ukraine with $100 million in humanitarian aid.
