Intel Shows First 13th Generation Core Processor in Action [VIDEO]



During a closed conference for investors, the company announced the flagship processor of the Raptor Lake family. The chipmaker not only spoke about the technical characteristics of the future novelty, but also demonstrated its engineering model in operation.

The unnamed 13th generation processor has a hybrid architecture and includes 8 performance and 16 energy efficient cores (32 threads of execution). The company said that the Raptor Lake family of chips will be manufactured using the Intel 7 process technology and will acquire advanced overclocking features, as well as maintain compatibility with motherboards for the LGA 1700 socket.



At the event, Intel demonstrated the work of an engineering sample of Raptor Lake using the Blender program for creating and editing three-dimensional graphics, as well as the Adobe Premiere video editing application. A full announcement of the next generation chips will take place in the second half of this year.
