FedEx and UPS suspend delivery of parcels to Russia

FedEx Corp. and United Parcel Service Inc. suspended the delivery of parcels to Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine.

After the outbreak of hostilities, American courier companies froze their work in Ukraine, and now in the Russian Federation, writes the Wall Street Journal.

UPS said that mail in transit to Russia and Ukraine will be returned to the sender free of charge whenever possible.

"The safety of our employees, ensuring continued customer service and minimizing disruption to operations is our priority. UPS continues to monitor the situation closely and will resume operations as soon as it is practical and safe to do so," the courier service's website said.

FedEx posted a similar service notice on its website. "We are closely monitoring the situation and following contingency plans," FedEx said.
