Subaru showed an electric hypercar with a capacity of 1073 hp

Subaru unveiled a couple of concept cars at the Tokyo Motor Show. One of them was the STI E-RA electric race car. It is designed exclusively for tracks and is equipped with a battery capacity of only 60 kWh, but this is offset by huge power.

According to the manufacturer, four Yamaha electric motors provide the hypercar with an impressive 1073 horsepower. High downforce and all-wheel drive are combined with a unique torque distribution system. The developers claim that this allows you to maximize the grip and stability of the car.

The mass of the car is only 1690 kg. The estimated lap time on the Nürburgring is 6 minutes and 40 seconds. For example, Tesla Model S Plaid passes it in 7 minutes 35 seconds. Subaru plans to conduct the first tests on Japanese racetracks at the end of this year.

The second concept model off the Japanese brand at the auto show was the Solterra STI, which is a sportier version of the upcoming crossover. Subaru did not specify what changes await buyers under the hood, but exterior modifications in the form of spoilers hint at the vehicle's sporting ambitions.
