Koenigsegg has officially started production of its new supercar called Jesco . The Swedish company is set to produce only 125 Jesco devices, with the first delivery date set for the spring of 2022. The Jesco was first unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, and with a power output of 1,578 hp and a top speed of more than 500 km / h, it is set to claim the record for the fastest car in the world.
Koenigsegg used the classic orange paint used in the CCR model in 2004 to show the production model.
CEO and founder of the company, Christine van Koenigsegg, said in connection with the start of production of this product that the company is very excited to deliver all 125 Jesco and Jesco Absolute devices to customers.
As you know, this supercar will be offered in two models, one with a rear wing with the ability to produce maximum downward force and the other without a rear wing to reach a maximum speed of 500 km / h. The supercar has a price tag of ۳ 2.3 million.
A V8 engine equipped with 2 turbochargers with forged crankshaft and direct air injection system, is capable of producing 1262 horsepower with conventional 95 octane gasoline fuel. If you use E85 ethanol fuel, this figure will reach 1578 hp and its maximum torque is equal to 1500 Nm. The weight of this supercar is equal to 1400 kg.
Guenig Zeg has used a completely new platform for the production of Jesco, and as a result, its dimensions are slightly larger than the Agra model. Thanks to the all-new aerodynamic package, this supercar is capable of producing a downward force of 1,000 kg.
One of the technical innovations of this company is the construction of a completely new 9-speed gearbox equipped with 7 wet clutch plates, which weighs only 90 kg. This gearbox is capable of shifting gears in less than 20 milliseconds and is therefore the fastest gearbox currently used in the automotive industry.
Inside the room, there is a touch screen with SmartCentre capability. There is also a touch screen on the steering wheel. The back of the amp is also attached to the steering wheel itself and rotates as the steering wheel rotates.
