Apple again accused of deliberately slowing down iPhone's CPU!

The Spanish Consumer Protection Agency has accused Apple of deliberately reducing the iPhone's battery life and CPU speed in iOS 14.5.1 and iOS 14.5.

Reduce CPU speed on Apple iPhones

It was in 2016 that Apple users released the Batterygate hashtag accusing the company of deliberately slowing down CPU speed. According to them, Apple has slowed down the processor speed of iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus so that users have no choice but to buy newer models.

It was later revealed that since older models had weaker batteries, the company was forced to lower CPU performance in version 10.2.1 of the iOS operating system so that the phone would not shut down while running heavy applications. Interestingly, this reduced battery problems by up to 80%.

In a statement issued in 2017, Apple apologized to all affected users and reduced the price of batteries by 63%. It also added a new feature called Battery Health to version 11.3, which is now available in iOS 14.

The Batterygate affair is long overdue, but the Spanish Consumer Protection Agency has once again accused Apple of deliberately slowing down the CPU, this time on newer models such as the iPhone 12, iPhone XS, iPhone 8 and iPhone 11. This problem apparently arose after the release of iOS 14.5.1 and iOS 14.5.

The Spanish company sent a letter asking Apple to compensate the damage done to users. Otherwise, he will take the Cupertino company to court.
