The most striking novelty of this new Apple TV would be the implementation of an A chip 12 X , the same one that mounted the iPad Pro of 2018, and which would replace A 10 X that mounts the current 4K model. Another novelty of this future Apple TV is the increase in available memory, both base and higher model, now being the ranges 64 and 128 GB.
Despite having a chip as powerful as A 12 X, Apple has modified and disabled cores in previous generations of Apple TV to adapt the chips to the needs of the device, so we cannot know what real power it will have , although it is surely more capable than the previous model.
At the moment there is no data about the release date, but according to Prosser the devices would already be ready to be presented, so we assume that Apple will soon make it public.
Presented together with the iPhone X in September 2017, the current Apple TV 4K is close to accumulating three years old behind him, so that may be a good time for a renovation . This time with more competition and public, thanks to the growth of streaming platforms, as well as the same service via app created by Apple to offer an experience similar to that of Apple TV on smart TVs.
