New version of Chrome OS will allow easier access to Linux and Android

During the Google I / O event this week, Google has made a revelation that may change the future of the company in the notebook and laptop market: that from this year, all Chromebooks launched by the company will come with the Linux system factory.

Although not surprising - after all, Chrome OS is Linux-based, and its first release was nothing more than a modification of Ubuntu - the ease with which it will be possible to access the "parent system" of Chrome OS is something that should be of great use, especially for developers.

You can now access Linux tools on a Chromebook, but this is a tricky operation, requiring you to install a specific program (Crouton) to access these tools, or install a Linux outsourced system made specifically for the Chromebook such as Gallium OS.

From the new releases of the company, accessing Linux will be much easier:

when you open the Chrome OS switcher app, the user only needs to type "Terminal" that will already open Termina VM, which will start to run the computer in a container of the Debian 9.0, making the Chromebook into a machine with Linux operating system Debian. In addition to Debian, Chrome OS will also support, with a few commands, users to run other famous Linux systems, such as Ubuntu and Fedora.

In addition, with the new version of Chrome OS, the system will also extend its Android support, also allowing users to run apps made for Google's smartphone operating system right on the Chromebook. This should make it much easier for app developers and developers to easily move and test files between three different operating systems (Chrome OS, Linux, and Android) without having to change machines.

Another function that this system update will allow is the connection of network services between Chrome OS and Linux. This will allow, for example, to use the Linux container to run a web server and, in Chrome OS, debug the operation without the need for two machines to run the process.

In addition to the obvious advantages to developers, the presence of the three operating systems can also be advantageous for ordinary users as it allows you to use the machine's default system to browse the internet and access documents in Google Drive while using Android to access your social networks like Twitter or Instagram ), as if you were using your smartphone, not accessing your browser versions.
