PlayStation 4 reaches 76.5 million units sold

Console approaches the PlayStation 3 brand


The  PlayStation 4 has reached the mark of 76.5 million units sold.

The manufacturer revised its sales in the fiscal third quarter (which comprises the last three months of 2017) and claims to have shipped 9 million PS4 to stores in this period.

Despite the brand, 700,000 PS4 were sold less than at the end of 2016.

Hackers launched the first pirated game on the PlayStation 4


The PS4 has already entered the top-selling consoles in history and is now approaching its predecessor, the  PlayStation 3, which ended its lifecycle with 83.8 million units sold.
