Nintendo has announced the next title that will be added to Nintendo Switch Online.
This is Super Mario Strikers, known as Mario Smash Football in Europe, it was published for Gamecube in 2005.
In this 5v5 arcade soccer game we have classic Mario items to interfere in the games, but its most notable feature are the Super Strikes, special hits that allow us to score double points if we get it right.
Super Mario Strikers was developed by Next Level Games, a Canadian studio that until that point had only released one title (NHL Hitz Pro) but ended up becoming a regular customer of Nintendo (Mario Strikers Charged, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Luigi's Mansion 3...) until it was bought by the Kyoto company in 2021.
Gamecube games are only available in the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack on the Nintendo Switch 2 console.
