Beat Saber will end support on Meta Quest 1 starting in November

Beat Games has announced the end of support for Beat Saber on Meta Quest 1 VR headsets.

Beat Saber will end support on Meta Quest 1 starting in November

According to the studio, their intention is to raise the possibilities of what Beat Saber can do, and to do so they have to stop supporting the less powerful hardware of Quest 1.

The title will remain playable, but multiplayer features will be disabled and no further updates will be released. It's also possible that leaderboards will stop working later

Both the game and all the DLC will still be playable on the most advanced headsets such as Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro, as the purchases are associated with the same account.

In 2019 Beat Games was bought by Meta (back then it was still called Facebook), becoming part of the internal development companies under the umbrella of Oculus Studios.
