Final Fantasy 16's second DLC just got a trailer and release date; see Leviathan in action!
Even though Final Fantasy 16 was released last year and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is already available, Square Enix and Creation Unit 3 are still delivering on the promises of DLC. Now, the second piece of additional content, called The Rising Tide, is getting a new trailer and release date: April 18th.
Final Fantasy 16: Rising Tide DLC shows Leviathan in action.
For those who don't remember, Final Fantasy 16 already received the first DLC in December (on the day of The Game Awards, inclusive), called Echoes of the Fallen. Now, the new add-on content will feature never-before-seen areas and the Eikon Leviathan, famous in the franchise for his water powers. Check out the trailer below:
According to Square Enix, The Rising Tide will bring a new journey for Clive and his party in a secret realm, called Mysidia. During the campaign, the team will have to unravel the mysteries of a lost civilization – and the plot takes place before the end of the original game.
As you'd expect, Clive will be able to acquire Leviathan and gain new powers, but the Final Fantasy 16 team has revealed that these won't be the only abilities available during the DLC.
In addition to an all-new campaign, The Rising Tide will also introduce a new mode, called Kairos Gate, where players must go through 20 levels of increasing difficulty (and, in the process, earn materials to craft weapons and equipment for Clive).
In addition, Final Fantasy 16 will also have a free update on April 18 that will bring health improvements, such as the chance to return to a quest NPC after completing the quest, create different skill presets, and more.
The Rising Tide de Final Fantasy 16 chega dia 18 de abril e vai custar US$ 20 (ainda não há preço em reais). Já o primeiro DLC, Echoes of the Fallen, custa US$ 10 (ou R$ 53,90), e há um bundle com ambos os DLCs por US$ 25 para quem quiser economizar no pacote (R$ 133,90).
