While it's true that it's possible to resort to microtransactions in order to be able to travel fast unlimited (or at least limited to the money in your bank account), by design, naturally, the game offers several free solutions that fit well with the pace thought of by the developers.
How to fast travel (and for free) in Dragon's Dogma 2?
The first form of travel you'll have access to in Dragon's Dogma 2 is wagons. Very cheap, they allow you to move quickly between cities, mainly, but it is also possible to find carts in the middle of the routes in your wanderings around.
In Vernworth, with a few hours of gameplay, you can go by wagon to Melve through the north gate, or to Checkpoint Rest Town at the west gate for a small fee. Just talk to the wagon owner, pay, sit down, put your character to doze, and he'll be there in seconds.
Alternatively, you'll also find Portcrystals (or Crystalports, in Portuguese) at various points of interest. Whenever you bump into one of them, remember to manually activate them by interacting with them.
After that, all you have to do is get a Ferrystone (or Barge Stone) to be able to travel to any active crystal. They are sold already in Vernworth for 10,000g at Philbert's Sundries, and every three days he receives more items in stock. Other merchants also sell the item, so stay tuned on the journey!
Finally, we also have crystal portable ports, but those are rarer. With them, you can place a fast travel point wherever you want on the map, being able to place up to 10 of them. Following the main campaign, you'll earn this item by completing Captain Brant's missions.
