Apple M2 Ultra Impressive: Mac Studio (2023) Dominates Geekbench Benchmark Test, Leading the Competition

A Mac Studio (2023) computer with the new Apple M2 Ultra chipset has been tested in the Geekbench performance database.

As a result of the Geekbench version 5.4.0 test, the computer achieved impressive results: 1956 points in the single-core test and 27945 points when using all 24 cores. Compared to last year's Mac Studio with M1 Ultra processor, the new machine outperforms it by 18%. It is noted that the flagship Intel Core i9-13900K and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processors are also inferior to Apple's new solution, although not by such a large margin, according to Wccftech.

According to Apple, the M2 Ultra processor outperforms its predecessor by 20% in CPU computing and 30% in graphics performance. In addition, the Neural Engine has become 40% more powerful. M2 Ultra is equipped with a 24-core processor and 60 or 76-core graphics subsystem, as well as a 32-core Neural Engine. The chipset also has 192GB of combined memory with up to 800GB/s bandwidth. The 5 nm manufacturing process is used.
