Amazon Cloud Drive , or simply, Cloud Drive, is Amazon's online storage service, available for Android , iOS , and Windows devices . It offers 5GB of free space for uploading documents, photos and videos, in addition to paid packages with up to 1TB of space. The service synchronizes shared files across computers, smartphones and tablets.
In general, cloud sharing is useful, especially for professionals and students who need to keep important documents in a safe place. By storing and sharing files on an online service, the user does not risk losing data when the computer or mobile device has technical problems or is formatted without backup.
However, Cloud Drive is more suitable for storing and sharing photos and videos with friends and family. It is possible to create albums and folders with separate files and allow anyone to have access to the content made available through a public link.
CLOUDDRIVE ON PC
The operating system of the service is quite simple, both on a computer with Windows, as well as on Android or iOS. On the PC, after registering and creating an account on Cloud Drive, the user can access the storage options through the browser, with internet access, as it is not possible to view the files offline, as is the case with Google Drive.
Among the options, in a simple and objective interface, are the lists to upload files (Upload Files), view all files in the cloud (All Files), view shared files (Shared Files) and deleted items (Deleted Items). There are also documents separated by folders (Folders), with an option to store documents, photos and videos separately.
By selecting one of the folders it is possible to create subfolders. To do so, just click on the “New Folder” button. In the “More Actions” button, you will find options to move the selected content to other folders (Move), copy (Copy), rename (Rename) and share (Share).
CLOUD DRIVE ON MOBILE DEVICE
On Android and iOS, photos and videos up to 20 minutes long and 2 Gb in size can be sent to the cloud automatically, just that the automatic saving (auto save) is turned on in the app settings. That way, you don't have to worry about losing content in case of damage to the device, theft or loss, because through the computer it is possible to access everything that was stored.
You can upload individual photos, personal videos and entire albums, and share via email or social media using apps on your smartphone or tablet. The application is simple and requires internet access, as offline mode for viewing files is not available.

OUR OPINION
Amazon Cloud Drive is not the best cloud storage service on the market, but it offers practicality in using resources. The upload, download and sharing options are easy to use however the free plan is limited.
Being simple and objective, Amazon's service becomes practical for users who don't require advanced features, but who just want to store some files online. The 5 Gb space plan (in the free plan), highlights the focus on less demanding users.
Users who demand more available space and more advanced tools, such as integration with other users and accounts in addition to private sharing, should opt for other services, such as: Dropbox, Google Drive, Skydrive and Evernote. The public link generated to access files makes data security highly vulnerable.
In the application for Android and iOS, the automatic saving function of videos and photos captured with the device's camera is effective for users who want to save and share files with friends, as well as having the security of having them stored in a place outside the device in case of loss or theft. The app is very practical and works well for focusing on social networks, photos and videos.
