The Google Pixel 7 Pro managed to get the highest camera score in the Dexomark test and took the first place above the iPhone 14 Pro.
According to the results provided by the benchmark platform Dexomark , Google Pixel Pro managed to get the highest overall score in the camera rating, among all smartphones and higher than the iPhone 14 Pro. This phone has scored 147 points globally, which is the same as the number of points of the Honor Magic 4 phone.
This means that both the Pixel 7 Pro and the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate shared the top spot on this list. It should be mentioned that Apple's flagship, iPhone 14 Pro, was ranked second last month with one less point.
Google Pixel smartphones are known for their high photography capabilities and skills. In the current generation, the Pixel 7 Pro scored 147 and 143 points in the photo and video recording sections, respectively. According to Dexomark, the camera performance of this smartphone shows significant improvements compared to its previous generation, the Pixel 6 Pro.
The new generation now has new software settings that improve zoom performance and video quality. This device also managed to get the highest score in the "use by friends and family" section of this test by maintaining strong contrast, appropriate reproduction of skin tone and better exposure. Dexomark also stated that the Pixel 7 Pro offers fast and accurate autofocus along with face tracking. Zoom performance is also improved with good detail at all zoom distances. Of course, apart from the positive points in the Pixel 7 Pro camera performance, there are also some negative points. For example, video recording performance in low light conditions, low exposure. Also, in close distance zoom, details and image noise are slightly reduced.
The Pixel 7 Pro has a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 30x zoom. There is also an 11.1 megapixel selfie camera on the front of the device.
