Mount Kanchenjunga, located in the Great Himalayas, is the highest mountain in India, with an elevation of 28,000 feet above sea level.
The mountain sits on the border between India and Nepal, in the national park bearing the name of the mountain, Kanchenjunga National Park.
The area is famous for being home to a large number of protected plants and animals, including some rare species such as the tiger and bear.
