It would seem that March is in the yard, it would be time to forget about the events of the difficult 2021 and focus on the current. However, Metacritic continues to sum up - and this time the site administration decided to publish a list of the best publishers of the past year. Phil Spencer, unsurprisingly, is back on horseback.
Top , which included 43 companies, was headed by Microsoft: the average score of its releases is 87.4, plus it has three games with a score above 90. Sony (81.3) and Humble Games (80.9) follow. Remarkably, the legendary Nintendo somehow flew past the top ten and finished in 14th place with 76 points.
Worst of all in 2021 was Merge Games, the publisher that distinguished itself with platformer Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX and cyberpunk adventure Foreclosed. It is worth mentioning that by no means all existing corporations got into the top: in order to qualify, they had to have at least 5 releases in 12 months.
