Samsung has introduced a series of branded ultrabooks Galaxy Book2. Distinctive features of the new products are a thin and light body, good autonomy and productive hardware based on the latest Intel Core processors, as well as a wide selection of interfaces and Intel EVO certification.
The laptop is presented in two versions with different diagonal AMOLED-display, the resolution of which is 1920x1080 pixels. The 13.3-inch model comes in multiple configurations with 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors and integrated Iris Xe graphics. The amount of RAM of the novelty of the LPDDR5 standard is 8, 16 or 32 GB, the NVMe drive is up to 1 TB, and the battery capacity is 63 Wh.
The set of laptop interfaces includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 modules, two USB Type-C ports (one Thunderbolt 4), one each Type-A and HDMI, as well as a microSD card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The laptop's power button has a built-in fingerprint reader to securely unlock the device. The manufacturer notes that the Galaxy Book2 Pro is equipped with a backlit keyboard and a webcam with a resolution of 1080p broadcast.
The 15.6-inch version of the laptop differs from the more compact model not only in size. It also received configurations with discrete Intel Arc graphics and a 5G modem, and a more advanced audio system (2x5 W versus 2x4 W for the compact model). The battery capacity has also increased - up to 68 Wh. The devices are equipped with a 65-watt power supply. In addition, both new products have been certified by Intel EVO and are notable for their high autonomy.
Laptops are positioned as business-class devices and come with a proprietary software package and a hardware security module to protect user data. The dimensions and weight of the 13.3-inch model are 304.4 x 199.8 x 11.2 mm / 870 g, while the older model is 355.4 x 225.8 x 11.7 (13.2 in the discrete graphics version) / 1.11 kg (1.17 kg). The start date of sales and the cost of new products will be announced by the manufacturer later.
