New AMD processor and graphics card beat Intel and NVIDIA flagships in benchmark

Even before entering the market, one of the AMD Ryzen 6000 mobile processors appeared in benchmarks as part of the flagship ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. An equally important feature of the portable PC is the Radeon RX 6800S video card, which is also not available in any of the existing models. Together, they demonstrated impressive results in synthetics, overtaking the flagship Intel + NVIDIA combo.

In the PugetBench Photoshop benchmark, the combination of the Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and the Radeon 6800S graphics card demonstrated better performance than the combination of the Intel Core i9-12900H and the GeForce RTX 3080, despite the reduced power limit, taking into account the mobile specifics of the chips. The declared TDP value of the “red” CPU is only 35 W, the base clock frequency is 3.3 GHz, the maximum with automatic overclocking is 4.9 GHz.

Judging by the results of testing in Geekbench, the novelty based on the Rembrandt architecture outperforms the Ryzen 5900HS model by 5 and 20% in single- and multi-core disciplines, respectively. Manufactured using a 6nm process technology, the new Zen3+ family has 8 physical cores and 16 threads of execution. The release date and price of the laptop noted in the benchmarks, as well as other devices based on the new AMD hardware, is still unknown.
