Test results for the Intel Core i9-12900H processor for laptops have appeared in the PassMark benchmark database. The capabilities of the novelty turned out to be impressive - it managed to bypass not only its predecessors, but also leave behind Apple's flagship ARM chips.

Processor comparison

In the single-core load test, the "blue" CPU scored 4004 points, beating the Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max. On the fourth line of the performance rating, with a lag of only 20 points, there is another representative of the Alder Lake family - the Intel Core i7-1270P processor with a power limit of only 28 watts.

The Core i9-12900H is equipped with 6 performance and 8 energy efficient cores (20 execution threads). The TDP level of the novelty is 45 watts. Notably, the Intel chip managed to outperform Apple's processing power decisions in multi-threaded tests as well. The result for the Core i9-12900H, M1 Pro, and M1 Max is 33,285, 23,553, and 23,468 respectively.
