The European Union will finance the purchase and supply of weapons to Ukraine for the first time. This was stated today, February 27, at a press conference in Brussels by the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen.

“For the first time, the EU will finance the purchase and supply of weapons and other equipment for a country that is in danger,” she said.

Recall that since February 24, the special military operation of Russia announced by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the aim of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine continues. The decision was made in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass. Putin stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories.
