Much has been speculated about the launch of The Last of Us 2 's online mode , but so far Naughty Dog has remained silent about a possible release date. While no official news is released, some dataminers are digging through the game's files and uncovering alleged multiplayer armor.
The video from the “Speclizer” channel shows three “vest + helmet” options for Ellie, all of which appear to be part of the same outfit class, just with different levels of upgrades.
The first set, “Ellie Level 1 Armor”, is blue and has “Police” written on the front and back. The second one has some extra pockets and is called “Ellie Level 2 Armor”. The third one is a little similar to the previous option, only fully camouflaged, and is named “Ellie Level 3 Armor”.
In addition, Speclizer found “six multiplayer backpacks” divided into “assault, melee, sniper, stealth, support, and tactics” categories. The youtuber promised that, if he manages to implement them in the game, he would publish a video to show the content.
The Last of Us 2 multiplayer does not yet have a release date set. In December 2021, a job opportunity at Naughty Dog suggested that the mode might have microtransactions — although nothing has been made official yet.
