NVIDIA has introduced a modified version of the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card with 12 GB of video memory. The novelty also received several other technical improvements, including and has already gone to retail.
Compared to the original model, the video card received two "bonus" execution units and, accordingly, RT cores, as well as tensor modules (from 272 to 280) and CUDA cores (from 8704 to 8960). The TDP value also increased - from 320 to 350 W. In addition, the bus width was tightened to 384 bits, which gave the new product a memory bandwidth of 912 GB / s. But the base clock speed of the GPU dropped slightly - to 1.26 GHz versus 1.44 GHz for the original.
This time NVIDIA did not release the Founders version of the video card and announce its recommended price. The model immediately went to retail in the OEM version of various vendors. In the European region, it has already been seen in several online stores, where it is offered to be purchased for € 1,700 - € 1,800. The card also appeared in the Russian retail - however, it was not available, but the seller indicated a price of 170,000 rubles and more, depending on the brand.
