Dell XPS 13 Plus has an invisible touchpad and a powerful processor



Dell has unveiled the flagship laptop XPS 13 Plus, made in the original design. Instead of the traditional "window" of the touchpad, the novelty received a touch panel with a tactile feedback function that does not stand out from the solid design of the case. In addition, the model is notable for its powerful hardware and comes with different types of display to choose from.

Depending on the modification, the laptop is equipped with a 13.4-inch IPS-screen (1920x1200 pixels) or OLED-panel of the same diagonal with a resolution of 3840x2400 pixels. The top version of Dell XPS 13 Plus is based on the Intel Core i7-1280P processor, and the more affordable one received the Core i5-1240P chip. Both options rely on embedded graphics with 96 and 80 execution units, respectively.

The amount of RAM of the new item ranges from 8 to 32 GB, and the built-in SSD-drive - from 256 GB to 2 TB. A 55 Wh battery is responsible for the autonomy of the laptop. The list of new interfaces includes two USB Type-C ports, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless communication modules.

Another feature of the gadget is a special touch strip above the full-size keyboard. It acts as function keys, and is also responsible for adjusting the volume, display brightness, backlight and mute. The invisible touchpad responds to pressure through vibration feedback. In addition, the laptop has got an efficient cooling system and four built-in speakers.

Dell XPS 13 Plus starts at $ 1199 for a basic modification. The start of sales of new items is scheduled for the spring of 2022.
