Towards the end of the year, the presentation of the new flagship Xiaomi 12 took place. This time, the manufacturer set out to make a compact smartphone that would not be inferior to competitors in terms of performance and other features. In addition, the manufacturer managed to maintain a fairly affordable price.
According to the head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, creating a compact flagship was not an easy task, but the company coped with it. He assures that the Xiaomi 12 is more convenient to use than the iPhone 13, since its width is only 69.9 mm, but the display size is 8% larger in comparison with the Apple device. He also pointed to better fifth-generation connectivity thanks to a unique 15 antenna system.
Xiaomi 12 received a 6.28-inch 12-bit OLED display with Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. With a maximum brightness of 1100 nits, it supports 16,000 dimming levels. The latest 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is responsible for the performance of the smartphone, and the battery capacity is 4500 mAh.
The main camera of the Xiaomi 12 is represented by a 1 / 1.56-inch Sony IMX766 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. There is an optical image stabilization system. An ultra-wide-angle 13 megapixel lens and a telephoto lens for macro photography are used as additional modules. According to Xiaomi, the launch speed of the camera has been increased by 21.2%, and night shots are now taken 39.9% faster. In addition, the smartphone uses the new CyberFocus technology, which tracks objects in the frame using AI to keep them in focus.
