The new sensor detects lies by facial expressions [VIDEO]

A group of scientists from Tel Aviv University have developed unique sensors. With their help, you can track the movements of the facial muscles to determine the moments when a person is lying. The development can become an analogue of a traditional polygraph.

Experiments have shown that with the help of the new technology, scientists were able to detect lies in 73% of cases, based on the readings of only one sensor. When they work together, the accuracy can reach even greater levels.

The use of electrodes on a person's face is not always convenient, so scientists want to take a new step in the development of this technology by rejecting the physical contact of sensors with the body. It is planned to train an artificial intelligence capable of detecting muscle contractions from video footage.

In the future, this technology may be used by police, airports and other important industries to analyze video from surveillance cameras and determine if a person is hiding something or telling a lie.
