The first computer mouse with an SSD is created

Adata has disclosed information about the release of a computer mouse with built-in storage. It is reported by Tom's Hardware.

The XPG Vault features a one terabyte SSD. According to the company's engineers, the built-in storage will allow the gamer to save games, profiles and other files directly to the device's memory. The world's first mouse with its own built-in memory will be fully announced at CES 2022.

The drive has a throughput of 985 megabytes per second, data transfer is carried out via the USB-C connector. "This is significantly faster than traditional SATA 3 SSDs, which have a speed of about 550 megabytes per second," - described the device created by Adata journalists.

According to the company's engineers, such an accessory can be useful on the road, when it is not possible to take an additional disk for storing games with you. The mouse can also be used to back up data. The cost of the device will be revealed at CES 2022 in January.
