The Chinese Patent Office has approved OPPO's new application, registering a document that describes how the original wearable works. The gadget, which is a smart ring with sensors, is rumored to be able to act as a miniature controller for smart glasses.
According to network sources, the gadget, tentatively named OPPO Smart Ring, will be positioned as a functional addition to the brand's smart glasses. Last week, as part of the OPPO INNO DAY 2021 event, the vendor has already presented the OPPO Air Glass accessory with an extraordinary design and a Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor. It is possible that with the help of a smart ring, users will be able to control its functions through gestures.
The manufacturer itself has not yet disclosed any details about the patented gadget. It is only known that the future novelty is registered as an accessory, and not as an independent electronic device. Network sources do not report on its technical characteristics, cost and possible release date.
