Kaspersky Lab has warned of a New Year's Eve raffle scheme

Internet scammers have begun to rob their victims with large prize draws. Kaspersky Lab experts have explained how to recognize a fraudulent scheme.

Hackers increased their activity on the eve of the New Year and began to cash in on Internet users with targeted mailings. So, to participate in the "drawing" the user must share messages with their contacts and pay 1 ruble for access to the lottery database. This is how fraudsters receive data from banking applications, warned the press service of Kaspersky Lab.

“Fraudsters may ask to enter information about a bank card or pay a commission supposedly for receiving a prize,” the experts noted.

According to the developers, Internet users should check sites where they need to leave personal data. It is also not recommended to trust the "bounty rides" on the Web.

Earlier, Russian pirates gained access to hacking streaming services. A hacker published a script on the Web for downloading videos from large online cinemas, which were in a vulnerable position.
