The failure was short-lived, and by now the incorrect orders have already been canceled.
An Ozon spokesman confirmed that the crash occurred tonight. “The system began to offer buyers some promotional items at prices that sellers did not have. We quickly stopped the action to figure out what was the matter. The error was corrected: the action will return to the site in the correct form during November 1, ”the source of the words of a company representative cites.
According to available data, the cost of more than a hundred products of various categories fell by about 98%, which is why they could be purchased for less than 50 rubles. How many sellers were affected by the failure, the retailer did not specify. Customers who managed to place an order during the outage have already received notifications that the goods will not be delivered to them. The company noted that sellers simply do not have such quantities of goods at a reduced cost.
“We have already started returning money to customers, from our side they are sent almost instantly. Usually, they appear on the client's current account or card no later than 2-3 days later, depending on the bank, ”the company explained.
