Chinese companies have sharply increased shipments of smartphones to the European market

Counterpoint Technology Market Research has summed up the results of the study of the European smartphone market in the third quarter of this year. The industry is reportedly undergoing changes.

Chinese companies have sharply increased shipments of smartphones to the European market

On the one hand, the market began to recover from the negative impact of the pandemic. On the other hand, sales are now being affected by a global shortage of electronic components and disruption to supply chains. This led to the fact that the shipments of smartphones in Europe declined by 1% year on year and 4% quarterly.

The largest player in the last quarter was the South Korean giant Samsung with a share of 30.4%. In second place is the Chinese Xiaomi with a score of 23.6%. Apple closes the top three - 22.1%. Then there are Oppo, Realme and Vivo with shares of 10.1%, 2.4% and 1.8%, respectively.

It should be noted that Chinese suppliers are particularly successful in the European smart cell phone market. Thus, the demand for Xiaomi devices jumped 51% year on year. Oppo saw shipments rise 112%, Realme up 160%. And Vivo showed an increase of 238% at all.
