ASUS has introduced a laptop-transformer with an OLED screen and a detachable keyboard - the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED model. In addition to the original design, the device received balanced hardware, an advanced speaker system and the latest Windows 11 operating system out of the box.
The novelty is equipped with a 13.3-inch OLED display with Full HD resolution, a maximum brightness of 500 nits (DisplayHDR True Black 500), support for Dolby Vision and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. It can be used as an independent tablet. The set of the device also includes a stylus ASUS Pen 2.0 with Bluetooth-module, which recognizes 4096 pressure levels and has four replaceable nibs that simulate pencil leads of different hardness.
Responsible for the performance of the laptop is a quad-core Intel Pentium Silver N6000 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 3.3 GHz and an integrated Intel UHD Graphics (up to 850 MHz, 4K support). The RAM of the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is 4 or 8 GB, and the built-in storage is 128 or 256 GB. Depending on the modification, the junior configuration can use both eMMC memory and SSD with a PCI-Express 3.0 interface.
The set of laptop connectors includes two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports with the ability to connect an external display and support for Power Delivery technology, a 3.5mm audio combo port and a microSD card slot. Built-in Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 modules are responsible for the wireless connection functions . The audio system of the laptop is represented by four speakers with support for Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.
The removable keyboard of the novelty is equipped with keys with a standard distance between the centers of the caps (19.05 mm), and a stroke length of 1.4 mm. The curved caps of the keycaps make for a more comfortable typing experience, and the large touchpad with high sensitivity has a special smooth coating for easy finger gliding. Another feature of the model is the presence of two cameras at once: the main one with 13 megapixels and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The capacity of the built-in battery of ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is 50 Wh. According to the manufacturer, a complete 65 W power supply can replenish 60% of the battery charge in just 39 minutes. The laptop will go on sale in four design options: Standard, Cargo Edition, and two Artist Edition design modifications.
The cost and start date of the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED will be announced by the manufacturer at a later date.
