Apple will repair iPhone 12 and 12 Pro for free with failed earpiece speakers

Apple has launched a free speaker repair program for iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. This program covers devices released between October 2020 and April 2021 that do not play audio during calls.

Users whose smartphones are affected by the problem should contact an Apple Authorized Service Center. The free repair program operates worldwide, although Apple mentions that it may be limited in some countries and regions. It is worth noting that only the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro are eligible for free repair, but not the iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max. The program will run for two years from the date of sale of the affected smartphones. Recall that one year has passed since the launch of the iPhone 12 series.

Apple has acknowledged that the problem with the broken speakers is due to a manufacturing defect. It is worth noting that the company will refuse free repairs to users of smartphones with broken displays.
