In addition to the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G, the company unveiled today three more mobile chips for mid-range and entry-level smartphones: Snapdragon 695 5G, 480 Plus 5G and 680 4G. They are designed to popularize fifth-generation networks by offering users increased performance and access to new features across a range of price points.
The all-new Snapdragon 695 5G mobile platform, based on 6nm process technology, offers 15% more CPU performance and 30% faster graphics than the Snapdragon 690. In addition, this chip supports 5th generation networks in the mmWave and sub bands. -6 GHz, thus providing access to 5G anywhere in the world with download speeds up to 2.5 Gbps.
The Snapdragon 695 5G also supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology, cameras with a resolution of up to 32 megapixels, Full HD screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, video recording at 1080p at 60 fps, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5.
Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G offers global 5G support. This chipset includes eight Kryo 460 cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator. This processor supports Full HD + screens at 120 Hz, taking photos with a resolution of up to 64 megapixels, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5.
The Snapdragon 680 4G mobile platform is manufactured using a 6nm process technology. The central processor includes eight Kryo 265 cores with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz, and the video accelerator Adreno 610 is responsible for the graphics. This chip can be installed in smartphones with Full HD + screens with a frequency of 90 Hz and cameras with a resolution of up to 32 megapixels.
The new processors will appear in smartphones Nokia, Honor, Motorola, OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi. The first devices will be released in the coming months.
