Microsoft has released an update for Windows 10 with many fixes for known bugs

Microsoft started distributing the KB update package this week 5005611, which is for Windows devices 17 (21 H1), Windows 17 (17 H2) and Windows 10 (2004). The update is deployed through Windows Update and is also available via direct links leading to the offline installers. The mentioned package is optional, so it will not be downloaded to user computers automatically.

Although KB 5005611 does not contain any security fixes, it has received many fixes for known issues. The developers have fixed a bug due to which the system clock could show the wrong time after switching to daylight saving time. Fixed a bug due to which applications such as Microsoft Outlook could crash spontaneously during normal use. Fixed the work of the Outlook add-in, which in some cases prevented entering a reply to messages.

Fixed a bug due to which the icons of the “News and Interests” widget could become blurry when used some screen resolution formats. Fixed a bug due to which the News and Interests widget was automatically displayed when you right-click on the taskbar, even if this function is disabled in the settings. Fixed a bug that in some cases could break the device’s performance after a reboot. The problem with the distortion of the sound quality recorded with the help of voice assistants has been fixed. The developers also made a lot of other changes that are aimed at improving the stability of the operating system.
