AMD is officially announcing the Accelerated Data Center Premiere . It will feature new EPYC server processors and Instinct HPC accelerators. The event will be attended by AMD CEO Lisa Su, Senior Vice President and CEO, Forrest Norrod, Data Center & Embedded Business Group, and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Server Business Unit Dan McNamar. (Dan McNamar).
As far as we know, the next generation of AMD EPYC server processors is called Milan-X and will differ from the current generation by the presence of the 3D V-Cache technology. As for AMD Instinct HPC accelerators, judging by the same rumors, the new line will be named MI200 or MI250. Representatives of the line will become the first accelerators in the world using multi-chip design (MCM), since neither NVIDIA nor Intel have announced their accelerators with this technology yet.
Whatever technologies are used in the new AMD server processors and accelerators, we will be glad to see them presented on November 8.
