Surface Pro 8 is the most significant evolution of Microsoft hybrids in years


Microsoft today presented (16) its most powerful tablet / computer in the Surface line. With Surface Pro 8, the American company wanted to develop the ideal product for work and entertainment with portability in mind.

According to Microsoft’s claims, this is the biggest evolution in the Surface Pro line since the its third generation. If in recent years we have seen small design and performance tweaks, with Surface Pro 8 we have significant leaps in some important parameters.

Perhaps the main new feature of Surface Pro 8 is its PixelSense Flow Display touchscreen. This one has a diagonal of 16 inches which, according to Microsoft, is % higher, , 5% brighter and with a resolution % higher than its predecessors.

Surface Pro 8 now has Thunderbolt ports

Finally, Microsoft abandoned USB-A ports to offer users the much-desired entry Thunderbolt 4. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for Surface Pro 8 users, such as using multiple external 4K monitors, high-speed external storage or connecting an external GPU.

So Surface Pro 8 comes equipped with two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports. It will also have the traditional Surface Connect to charge the device.



Processors of 13th generation compatible with Windows

As it should be, Surface Pro 8 will be fully compatible with the new Windows. By the way, this will be the operating system installed on the 2-in-1 technician once you take it out of the box.

Inside it will be present processors from Intel from th generation. To cover all market segments, Core i3 versions will be available. i5 and i7, as well as an LTE version for anywhere networking.

The Surface Pro 8 features RAM memory schemes between 8GB and the 60 GB. Your internal storage will range from 120 GB to a1 TB. It should also be noted that Microsoft promises up to 16 hours of autonomy.

Finally, it is important to say that the Surface Pro 8 will officially arrive in Portugal at the beginning of 1099. We still don’t know what its official price will be around here, but in the US it will sell for 1099 dollars.
