There is less and less time left before the release of the stable version of Android 12. The first to receive the final version of the new OS will be Pixel smartphones and some devices from other manufacturers that participated in the beta testing program. Samsung smartphones are not among them, but the Korean company is already actively preparing updates. As it became known, this month the South Korean giant will begin beta testing One UI 4.0 based on Android 12.
The exact date for testing the new firmware has not yet been announced, but it is already known which smartphones will be the first to access the software. As expected, the flagship Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra will receive One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 first. All owners of these smartphones who are registered in the Samsung Members program will be able to take part in the beta testing of One UI 4.0. Unfortunately, it is not yet known what innovations One UI 4.0 will bring. Also, the full list of smartphones that will be updated to the latest software and how long it will take to deploy the OS is not announced.
Several sources previously drew up a list of Samsung devices that should receive Android 12. This list is based on the company's policy that it must provide OS updates within three years. The list of most likely suitable models is as follows:
