HP is expanding its product portfolio with the M24fd, a low-cost 23.8-inch USB Type-C monitor certified for Chrome OS notebooks. The novelty is designed for students.
A monitor connected to a laptop via a USB Type-C connector can transmit power up to 65 watts to the computer. If desired, the novelty can also be connected to the image source through the more traditional HDMI 1.4 and VGA connectors. The monitor also provides two USB Type-A connectors.
The screen resolution of the novelty is 1920 × 1080 pixels. According to the manufacturer, the model M24fd has vertical and horizontal viewing angles of 178 degrees, supports AMD FreeSync image synchronization technology and received a refresh rate of 75 Hz.
The peak brightness indicator of the novelty is declared at the level of 300 cd / m 2 . The display is covered with an anti-reflective coating. HP indicates that the sRGB color space coverage of the M24fd is 99 percent.
The monitor is equipped with a detachable stand. It does not have the function of adjusting the height or rotation of the screen, but it allows you to tilt the display from -5 to 25 degrees. The cost of the HP M24fd monitor is $ 250. It will be on sale in October.
