Although Google unveiled "Wear OS 3.0" at its developer conference in mid-May , the full name of the operating system was not disclosed. Silicon Valley tech giant has renamed its wearable product operating system Wear OS 3 , which may not feature the name "Google" due to its partnership with Samsung.
"Galaxy Watch 4" and "Galaxy Watch 4 Classic" are the first devices that will support this operating system, and Google today officially announced that the "Tick Watch Pro 3" and "Tick Watch E3" watches from "Moboy" company They will also receive the Wear OS 3 update. The company's future wearable products will also receive this update from day one or will receive it after the update time expires.
In addition, the new generation of US-made Fossil devices, which will be introduced later this year, will receive the Wear OS 3 update but will not be included with the operating system.
The list of watches that will receive the new Google operating system update is limited to just a few. Google states in its official blog about the release date of this update:
User experience is one of our top priorities and for this reason we expect some users to still prefer to use the current operating system. Therefore, we will provide the new update selectively and based on user feedback for eligible devices, and we expect to be able to offer the new update from the second half of 2022.
Also for products on the market, it should be noted that watches running Tizen will not receive the Wear OS 3 update, but this update will be released for watches running Wear OS 2. However, Samsung has announced that it will support the Tizen operating system for up to three years and will introduce new features to these watches by offering software updates.
