At the heart of the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is a Navi 23 XT graphics processor with 32 compute units, 2048 stream processors operating at a maximum clock frequency of 2589 MHz. The video card received 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory, 32 MB Infinity Cache and a 160 W thermal package. For its operation, it is necessary to connect one 8-pin auxiliary power connector.
AMD compares the performance of the new product with a competitor in the face of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which has 12 GB of video memory. The company's internal tests show the superiority of the Radeon RX 6600 XT up to 15% depending on the game. The games tested were set to Full HD resolution, maximum graphics settings with the most suitable API, and enabled Resizable BAR and Smart Access Memory technologies.
A slide was shown comparing AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT with Radeon RX 5600 XT and RX 5700: the new product turned out to be 40-70% more productive than the younger solution of the previous generation.
Only partners of the company will be engaged in the production and distribution of the Radeon RX 6600 XT, AMD itself refused to create reference models and their sales through the official website. The recommended cost of new items is $ 379, the start of sales is scheduled for August 11.
