Porsche has developed an early version of an advanced system that plays music suitable for the driver and other occupants in the cabin, depending on the driving conditions. This system, or in other words, the Soundtrack My Life project, is named and has a role similar to the music of computer games. As you know, in computer games, the background music is usually adjusted in such a way that it changes based on acceleration, speed and centrifugal force and immerses the user more in the game space.\
Porsche's innovative system is not just a playlist of songs on music streaming services, as the original music is adapted to the driving conditions with the help of advanced algorithms and then played. To use this system, it is enough to select the music style driver.
Norman Friedenberger, director of Porsche Digital's department, said:
"The complexity of what is heard from the corner varies from person to person, depending on the type of driving. "Driving speed, how the accelerator pedal is pressed and the brakes are the main factors in the type of music played."
With the development of the Soundtrack My Life system, Porsche does not intend to eliminate popular music streaming services, but wants to provide an additional option to its customers. One of the advantages of such a system is the continuous production of new parts, so the driver can always listen to original music that fits his driving style.
Mr Friedenberger believes this is very exciting for drivers and allows them to listen to and enjoy music three to five times more than normal.
The Soundtrack My Life project is currently in a pilot phase, and Porsche has not yet made a definite decision to use it in production models. To reach a final result, the popular German carmaker will conduct more tests to evaluate the driver experience.
