The Snapdragon 778G 5G arrived with 6nm lithography

Qualcomm has unveiled a new chip called the Snapdragon 778G 5G with 6nm lithography that uses an Adreno 642L graphics processor.

The chip is a version of the more powerful Snapdragon 780G chip introduced by Qualcomm last month. The company's new processor uses the Cortex-A78 core with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz. Adreno 642L GPU The chip supports Vulcan 1.1, OpenGL 3S 3.1 and HDR10 along with HDR10 +.

Devices equipped with Snapdragon 778G 5G chip can have a display with full HD resolution plus 144Hz refresh rate. The chip supports 10-bit color depth and the Rec2020 color gamut.

In the field of artificial intelligence, we are faced with the sixth generation of the company's AI engine with the Hexagon 770 processor, which has 12 TOPS performance. To improve the gaming experience, this chip uses the Snapdragon Elite Gaming feature.

Qualcomm has included a 14-bit Spectra 570 image signal processor for the chip, which supports a single 192-megapixel main camera or a dual main camera with a resolution of 36 + 22 megapixels. Of course, companies can also go for a 22-megapixel dual camera.

The chip supports HEIF / HEIC images, AI-based autofocus, multiframe noise reduction, 720p slow-motion video at 240 frames per second, and HDR10 with HDR10 +.

In terms of communications, we are dealing with the Snapdragon X53 5G modem, which has a maximum download speed of 3.3 Gbps. This modem supports millimeter wave and networks below 6 GHz.

Other features of the Snapdragon 778 5G include support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 3.1 and USB-C ports, Qualcomm's 3D Sonic and 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensors, along with other biometric authentication systems.

While the Snapdragon 780G supports Quick Charge 4 + technology, Qualcomm's new chip is capable of supporting Quick Charge 5.
