SpaceX flies the first Starship launch system from Texas to an island in Hawaii. The flight is the first time SpaceX has launched two major parts of the giant Starship system, the Superhero Rocket and the Starship Capsule.
The launch program states that the Starship will be launched with a superhigh rocket from the SpaceX center in Texas and will detach from the rocket three minutes after launch. After five minutes, the superhero returns to Earth and lands in the Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile, the Starship continues to move in its orbit, making a full orbit around the Earth before landing in Hawaii, which takes about 90 minutes. After entering the atmosphere, the Starship lands about 100 km from Kawaii Island, the northernmost island of Hawaii.
The exact date of the flight is not yet known, but there is a possibility that this mission will be completed before March 31, 2014. SpaceX has also announced that it will launch such a flight by the end of 2021. The StarShip capsule rises to a height of 115 km above the Earth, which is the lowest orbit of the Earth and the boundary between Earth and space.
The Starship system is currently the most powerful launch system available for land and interplanetary travel. The system is designed to carry up to 100 tons of cargo with manned missions. SpaceX has signed a $ 3 billion deal with NASA to be used in NASA's Artemis mission to bring humans back to the moon. SpaceX has made five high-altitude test launches so far, most recently this month, the fifth of which was a successful landing.
The private company stated that the Starship test launches are aimed at gaining experience and a better understanding of launch dynamics in missions, and that it is very difficult and almost impossible to predict the behavior of such a complex pre-flight system.
