SEGA sees great sales potential in Yakuza and Judgment

The SEGA is really excited about the strategy adopted in Yakuza: Like a Dragon to make it available for more platforms. According to the publisher's executives, the idea is to maintain sales of future releases of 2 to 3 million units.

The measure will be applied in the launch of Lost Judgment , which is scheduled to debut on September 24. The executives' statement was given during the company's last financial conference.

We believe that there is still potential for a huge increase in sales for a game with a global release and simultaneous localization in several languages.

Previously, the Japanese version was released first and was later sold in other regions without support for other languages. With the game reaching multiple platforms and countries, the company could better focus marketing costs, according to the executives.

The publisher also sees a great opportunity to launch its games on the PC at stores such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, to reach the goal of units sold.

SEGA is preparing a promising launch, which may arrive in the next five years.
