Main PageScarlet Nexus will arrive on PlayStation 4 and 5 in the winter of 2021
Bandai Namco took advantage of the 2020 Game Awards ceremony to reveal the launch window for Scarlet Nexus, their new action RPG. The title will arrive sometime in the winter (in the southern hemisphere) of 2021.
The information was presented in a trailer. The video focuses on the game's story, in which players can control Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. They will have different timelines, but they will cross paths throughout the campaign to save the world from monstrosities that threaten humanity.
Both Yuito and Kasane will take advantage of telekinetic skills to deal with their enemies. However, this does not mean that they will be the same, as the teaser above exemplifies.
Scarlet Nexus happens in the distant future, where a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, guaranteeing extrasensory powers to people. However, it didn't take long for mutants known as “Creatures” to descend from the skies, to satisfy their hunger with these brains.
The “Creatures” do not suffer damage from conventional weapons. For this reason, the FSC cadets - called “Paranormais” - became humanity's last hope, as they are the only ones capable of facing this massacre.
