Henry Cavill gets hurt and is removed from filming Netflix's The Witcher

Filming for Netflix's The Witcher series was interrupted after actor Henry Cavill, Geralt of Rivia's performer, was injured in an assault course that even involved swinging axes. The artist was instructed by the doctors to rest and wait for the injury to heal, since the show's armor is extremely heavy, as a source reports to The Sun.
He was on an assault course and injured his leg. He just stopped suddenly and was clearly in a lot of pain. It was not clear whether an object hit his leg or was an injury to the hamstring or muscle. It wasn't bad enough to need an ambulance, but it got in the way of the filming schedule because he can't walk properly. He has to wear heavy armor in the scenes and he just wouldn't be able to do that with his leg injury.

Filming for The Witcher series was already delayed due to the pandemic. Now, they will have to wait a few more weeks - depending on the severity of the injury - for the production protagonist to return.

First images of Geralt in season 2 of The Witcher

Netflix released, in October, the first images of Geralt (Henry Cavill) in the second season of The Witcher. The character appears in new armor and is prepared for combat.

According to the platform's profile, despite the change in clothing, the wizard is "the same". Therefore, fans are likely to see facial expressions and catchphrases similar to those of Season 1.
